Pulse i have a question

I soo much music its slowing down my pc's.  can i delete the mp3s off the pc and just put them on the 4 external hds i have ?  Please help me

I doubt its the amount of content on your pc thats slowing it down.

^^ It's very possible, Microsoft best practises state that Windows needs at least 15% free disk space to function effectively (I've found it's more around the 25-30% ratio though).

Yeah, but that's not a problem of the music itself causing the sluggishness -- it's a lack of space on the hard drive.

@Duvall > You're better off moving the music to ONE external drive (and making a copy of that drive) than splitting it over multiple drives.  Oh, and copy it THEN delete it, not the other way around.  ;)

yeah and the hd on one of my laptops is 500gig.  of that 451gig is used.  think i need to move rekordbox to one of my exteranl hd's along with all my music files, playlist, & folders. 

Will that work ?

@Patrick > Yes, it would definitely help. I tend to go through my programs now and again and delete what I no longer need too. Have you any RAM intensive programs running frequently that could be slowing down your computer? Disable any programs from auto-starting when powering up your computer.
