I bought EFX-1000 few days ago, and I'm wondering are TRS inputs/outputs on EFX, and send/returns on DJM-800 balanced or unbalanced?

Looks like there is no send return so your looking at master out again,

It has AUX and Returns, but I have no idea how it would sound then, I think TRANS and FILTER and that kind effects would not work on AUX, only ECHO, DELAY, REVERB and similar stuff... Anybody have some experience with 92 and efx?

ok . you have 2 sends on any chanell of the mixer (aux 1  , aux 2). you will use one pair of those to send signal in the efx . the return from the efx you can send it to return chanel (you have 2 return chanels, choose one) or to any normal chanel if you have a free one .after the conections done right , dont forget to send signal to the efx ,from any chanel you want with the dials in the top of every chanel (aux 1, aux 2)

omg lol I know that...
professional studio mixers work like that, with external effects like reverbs, delays etc...

my question was how to use effects like TRANS and FILTER, there is no point to have original sound on ch1, and TRANS-formed sound on return channel...
for example I want to use WAH (filter) with TRANS effect on build up, and I have no idea how to do it with aux-es... I need classic send/return for that effect.

Now, I know there are DJ's here that worked with xone92 and efx1000, and I would be happy if they come buy and tell me how they solved that problem :)

I found answer on old Pio forums
http://forums-archive.pioneerdj.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1691012904/m...
and I'm not happy with xone92 solutions, xone42 is better from EFX point of view...

i have an efx 1000 and all i use is the send and return and nothing else.

monitors should goto to the booth on your mixer

and master goes to the PA.

this setup works as expected.

Correct; a S/R loop on many mixers allows you to select a channel (or the master) whereas connecting an FX unit in serial with a source or post-master only allows that audio to be effected.
