i have the white 350 setup, and this was the reason i didnt get the SDJ's because i wanted everything to be white, now pioneer are bringing out the 05's in white, is their any plans to release the 08's in white, because if i buy the 05's and then a month or 2 later i get an email saying the 08's are being relased i would be incredibly annoyed

Sorry, haven't heard.
If you have just a home set up and thats all you want them for then the 05s should meet your requirements.
I only have the 08s to annoy my neighbours when playing CoD.
i know the 05 would do for when i am at home, but i play at parties all the time as well so wanted to get the 08's
something i am interested to know tho now that i think about it, is there a safty cut off on the SDJ's my old amp for example if you pushed too much power through it, then it would cut off automatically, to prevent to blowing, does the SDJ's have anything like this?
I wouldn't suggest using the 8's for parties; they're studio monitors, not PA speakers.
@DJ-Ric > I don't believe there is a cut off, but there is a limiter to let you know when they start clipping. The blue indicator light on the front will begin flashing Red when it starts to clip. That is when you know it's reached the limit.
I'm on board with Pulse with not suggesting for house party use, but I will suggest if you have the room for the 08's in your studio, you will be much impressed and so will your neighbours! lol @Gavin
thanks for the advise pulse, and foster, i think i will follow it and just get the 05 for home, and shop around for a good set of pa speakers, but i defo think they also need to be white :)
