Quick question if i may. Am I missing something or is there no monitor speaker input on this unit? I am aware I could use the master 2 to connect it but that leaves me unable to control the volume on the monitor speaker.

Colsey, does it have XLR or RCA? I have studio monitors and they work perfectly on the RCA, test that one out.
Well..Hm...I would check the speakers, might be just that or wait until Pulse or someone like that posts here.
you can try this :
[Can't link to retailers]
plug it between the master and the monitor...
@Colesy > I understand what you are saying.
The S1 has two Master Outputs (as you are aware). While you can have one Master Output connected to the Master speakers, you can connect the second set to your monitors. The only thing is, you'll need independent control of the monitors to adjust the volume. In line units are available from different retailers.
@Colesy > Not everyone uses monitors, so not including it was a means of keeping cost under control, which would ultimately have to be borne by the end user.
After having owned a DDJ S1 for about 9 months now, as far as I can see, this is the only MAJOR fault in the S1. :(((
Having separate master and booth-outs is an absolute necessity for my company's activities and all our dj-team. Dancefloor and peripheral speakers need to be separately adjustable, and having to control this from the amplifiers' knobs is extremely inconvenient!! The best case scenario would have been 2 booth-outs (one for the dj monitor and one for peripheral speakers), except for the basic master-out. I guess that might be a tad too much to ask for lol.
I thought of 2 temporary solutions (till the S2 comes out which should at least have ONE booth out hopefully): Either some kind of splitter that would split ONE master-out signal into 2 or 3 different XLR-outs (with separately adjustable volumes obviously), OR, another device that would adjust the volume-out of the master2-out of the S1.
Problem is that I'm at loss of where to find devices like these... I don't even know what they're called so I can google them.. They obviously have to be small, light, portable, reliable & of course, affordable! :) I know you won't be able to provide links here, but maybe if you can tell me the brand name, model & types I can finally find something to solve our problem... THANXXXX :))
ANYONE?

The CleanBox Pro is a bit more than what you need, but it's a super tool to have the in box anyhow, it sells for about $60 but similar units can be found for as low as $30.
Sorry, in your case, you want this:

I got searching for the product and forgot you wanted two outputs from it!
@Pulse : Dude THANKS 4 your time! :)
