Gavin, From the other thread the question was asked if Pioneer can embed the s/n into the software menu of the player so people cannot mess with the stickers on the bottom when renting or loaning out, Also, In case the sticker fades from wear and tear. Maybe add a lockable menu option to input your s/n manually

Thanks BriChi!
Is it meanwhile possible to read out the S/N by the CDJ-menu?
Or is there a component in the player which is signed with the S/N if I would open the player body?
Thanks for ur support!

@Marcus > No, there is currently no way of identifying the S/N through the CDJ menu screen.
As Pulse has said in the archived thread, this has already been submitted to the engineers.

The serial number is a sticker affixed to the player, it's not within the code of the player itself. This will not be a function available within the current hardware. If you are looking for loss-prevention, perhaps you should invest in some custom tamper-proof ID stickers.

@Gavin & Pulse: Thank you for your reply!
One last question: If the S/N sticker was removed, do I have a chance to find out the S/N in another way? e.g. a production-number or something a like this on a part inside the player?
Thanks and cheers from Germany

hey guys, here is an idea too, A user found an easy way to access the mac address via a windows command, also you can access it through the connected router, The MAC address is set/embedded to your player, that could be another way to record which player is yours and record it by mac address,,,
