Is there any possible way to use the CDJ 900s with Hotcues without Traktor or Serato?
Maybe when using rekordbox somehow?
I miss this feature.

@DJ S-Type > Nope, those are for auto beat loops only. If you want to use Hot Cues you need to buy CDJ-2000s.

Or get a midi controller eg Nano Pad or Dicers to trigger the Hot Cues.

I've only played on those Dicers once before and found them fantastic! Really cool product.

@ Marv - He would still need Traktor or Serato though wouln't he? Or can these be used as a stand alone with the CDJ900??

@David > yes, you'll need a software solution too, such as Traktor / Serato / VDJ / Torq etc. Most of those additional controllers are connectable via USB only.

I use this one: [EDIT] - Serato Scratch Live Sub Controller. This one has pretty much every function from Serato. with this one, you need to touch your keyboard no more. The ONLY think does not have is the Start button, but you can midi program that on page 2, or, 3, or 4 of the controller.
