Ok everyone - given that there are always people trying to find new ways of using the EFX, and often asking the older forum members about it, I've decided to put together a guide we could all have for download ^_^

Find here the main Directory for this project - the document will always be there EFX-1000 Guide

The best part about this is that I expect you all to contribute so that we can have a good pool of information going! To do so, either write it here and I will edit into the document, or email me

So far I've only worked on the overall layout. But will be adding information of my own over the next few days

Update: I've added another file which already contains 2 tips ^_^

I've also decided to show a copy of the vector image for each tip, so that it shows which main buttons/knobs are used... this will obviously make the file bigger, but I may work out a way to solve that (since everything - text + images, on that PDF are vector files...)

JP, Where is your site hosted? I keep getting DNS errors after DNS errors.

My computer's behind a PAT Router in a school, so it's probably been blacklisted because of some 31173 H4X0R!!!!

a trick by Rik Parkinson you might also add to a list, might also use as LOW MED HIGH freq kills,

Depth knob at 0
Character at 0

Delay down to 1 ml sec

MIX knob all the way up to the EFFECT

Beat lever: ON

when a tracks playing, click on efx LOW to cutt off the low freq, MED etc

cheers

I have started to play feedback loop that the djm-800 send/return channel is "master". Then when i go to record feedback i put the channel fader down ( i dont stop cdj). If timing works when you put on right time (on beat) channel fader up and down you can have cool beats.

edit: This works on some songs when you have breakdown -> main song
