I received my efx-1000 with the sticker which was covering the description out/thro. So how is it out/thru or out? Pro equipment with the stickers covering oryginal descrpition?

I believe the answer is quite simple (and karl can confirm this or say I'm full of shait, lol)... it can be thru since you don't actualy need to to use the MIDI with the efx... but maybe this caused confusion or something like that?

Here's the bigger and better question - do you know what Thru is used for, and do you need it?

I believe it breaks down like this. If the Midi signal is coming thru the Midi out to the EFX Midi In, then you can daisy chain it using the Midi Thru. The basic in/out function is only relative to it's chain of device S/R.
If the EFX is the receiver then the thru is how you would send it off to multiple Midi reading devices... My stab at Ubber Geek staus.... ![]() Pioneer National Trainer & Product Specialist |

As soon as I figure out all the MIDI dealings w/ Ableton Live 5, I'll then try and figure out what I can do with the EFX1000 with it and let you know.

Hello all - i've been using the efx 500 for 3 years... and finally got an efx 1000 - i've looked at the manual and it states explicitly that it will send out the MIDI output data coming into the MIDI input (out/thru) ...
and it doesn't work - i'm sending start/stop and sync out of a Korg Electibe ESX into the efx 1000 and then out to and it's always worked with the efx 500 why not with the efx 1000? (i bought it used, btw so it "could" be broken. Has anyone else got the 1000 to get midi thru to work ? thanks |

The unit is mislabeled - it does NOT have a "thru" mode. Sorry.
