hey all, first post. i just brought back an efx1000 with me from the states. trying to hook it up to my behringer djx700 (i know...). when i hook it up through the s/r, my crossfade doesn't work properly. i know i can just run mixer > 1000 > receiver but i would like to moniter the effects on my headphones. any help would be greatly appreciated!

From the owner's manual:

quote:
The DJX700 features an integrated effects loop for the connection of an external effects device. The MONITOR signal is taken ]at the SEND output and routed, for example, to a reverb processor. Thus, the signal at the SEND connector is identical to the headphones signal and is selected with the MONITOR CUE buttons.

The externally processed signal is added to the MASTER output signal via the RETURN connectors. The effect signal volume may only be adjusted at the output control of the effects device itself.

I read it as this:

quote:
The mixer doesn't have a traditional S/R loop but rather, has this stupid system by which the effects routing is selected when you press the headphone cue button. If you thought about using the crossfader with the effects, think again. We don't work that way!

Sorry!
