Hi!
I have already used the search function about this subject but i have a new possible solution and now i need some opinions. Here its goes. Since the A&H 92 doesnt have a Send/Return, as known, you must either route the efx to one channel or "you have to output from "Aux 1" and to return to "Return 1" which is under the microphone input". I really dont like any of thoes solutions, it has many disadvantages and a few benefits. So, here is my idea! You connect two special XLR-to-tele cables from the A&H to the tele inputs of the EFX. Then, from the EFX i want to connect it directly to my active monitors (ESI Near05) because i dont have an amplifier. So from the outputs of the EFX i take two special xlr-tele cables to the inputs of my monitors... Will it work? Or instead of special xlr-tele cables i could take normally unbalanced tele cables? Please give me your opinions on this. |

Yeah, you can chain it post-master, the only down side to it is you can only effect the master output instead of selectively effecting channels via the AUX loop.

Yeah, i know but its the only way to get the most of it all..
I never use the effects on only one channel anyway. If i do it this way, do i loose any of the "warm sound", since the a&h is gonna go thru my efx directly into the monitors? Other opinions? This message has been edited. Last edited by: andresi, |

No, you won't lose anything, it's just a different routing configuration.

i found a better solution to use the Monitor with EFX in POST MASTER link...
Connect MAIN1 of mixer to any Input in EFX than the same kind of input goes to the amplifier... ok.... till here we all already know it... now.... all Kind of output are linked (RCA-JACK) so use another OUTPUT of EFX connecting it to RETURN1 of Xone:92 now u have the master in the return1 channel.. set the swith in the middle to TURN OFF (yes.. OFF) the channel... in this way if u turn up the fader u wont listen the return in master (otherwise u have 2 EGUAL signals one over other.. (MASTER+MASTER-LINKED-TO-RETURN1)) ok? now connect the Monitors from BOOTH outup to AUX1 Output. Increase the AUX1 and u will NOT listen nothing..... BUT... if u press that little button called PRE near the Aux1 contoller ... magic.. u will listen the master in the monitors.... And the best thing is that u can use the AUX1 contoller to increase or decrease the volume like as the BOOTH controller... why do that? because normally with EFX in POST MASTER u cannot heard the effects on Monitors but with this workaround you POST MASTER became a PRE MASTER because u use the output in the input it works VEEEEEERY NICE for me!!! |
