i am wanting to know whether i can hook up my virtual dj to an efx 500 to my mixer.
i am running virtual dj off of my computer with a creative soundcard which has seperate outputs for each channel, these are connected straight to my american audio mixer. can i connect the efx 500 so that it will work on the seperate channels. hope im making sense. plase can you tell me if ic an how to set this up plus what calbes i will need many thanks in advance |

You have 3 ways of connecting it, one depends on your mixer...
1) Connect the EFX post-master. This means ALL your master-output audio will be going through the EFX. 2) Connect the EFX on a Send/Return or Effects Loop on the mixer. Not all mixers have them so you might not be able to use this method. 3) Connect the EFX between the soundcard and your mixer. You'll only be able to connect one device but this way you have the ability to preview the effects on the channel cue on the mixer. ok thanks for quick reply. my mixer doesnt have send and return so cant do that. which method do you think would be better if im wanting to apply effects to both channels?
