Hello I have a behringer djx 700 and currently a korg kaos pad 2, when i connect the korg pad into the send and return connection into the mixer i can not cue the effect with the selected channeö, what i mean is for example channel 1 is playing and sounding in my apmlifier and i am hearing on my headphones channel 2, when i want to apply an effect with the korg pad to the channel two (so i can listen the effect on my headphones before mixing it), the effect sound in my amplifier just if i would be doing the effect live. My question is if I buy a Efx 500 will this happen to me aswell?? Am i doing something wrong with the connections???
Hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance |

Your problem is you own a DJX700.
Seriously though, check the manual and see - if I recall, it doesn't have a true "send/return" for use with effectors as it "returns" the audio directly to the master. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

It wouldn't make any difference which device you were using, the problem is the routing of the signal within the mixer.

I have a Behringer DJX700 too, and have just bought an EFX500...we are having problems. It seems to be wired up correctly, but for some reason, the track i'm cuing in, i can here through the speakers when the EFX is on??? If i turn it off, i can mix as normal with the sound not heard through the speakers when it shouldn't be, but as soon as my EFX is on, i can here both tracks through my speakers?

Of course it is. What do you expect from a knock-off mixer? It may look similar to a DJM600 but it doesn't perform like one.
