To this question, Pioneer would answer by « Upgrade to a DJM-1000 which have two S/R ». Big Grin

You can do this with your DJM but you'll have to connect your EFX and Kaos pad together and then connect the chain to the DJM. You can also connect the Kaos Pad at the end of the line (after the master).

djm800 has only 1 send and return feature, if you wanna hook up korg chaos pad, you need to connect directly from the source cdj or turntable Wink

Best way is as Grib says, daisy-chain them together...

Send > EFX > Korg > Return

Hi there

Don't suppose anyone can post up the cabling needed to achieve this?

Seems like we need a rca to trs?

Thanks.

It's in the manual ... but you can use a pair of TRS for each direction; a total of 4 are required. This, of course, assumes you're using a mixer which has 1/4" S/R connections.

Hi Pulse

I have looked in the manual, but maybe my post wasn't very clear.

I have a DJM 800 which I have utilised the send and return TRS via the EFX 1000.

I've now bought a KP3 and want to do this:

Send > EFX > Korg > Return

Problem is the KP3 doesn't have TRS connectors - only RCA.

Regards

Duh, yes, I'm sorry - I missed the Korg bit in the middle. You'd need:

DJM TRS > EFX TRS
EFX RCA > Korg RCA (or TRS > RCA)
Korg RCA > DJM TRS

So that's:

1x TRS > TRS
1x RCA > RCA
1x RCA > TRS

or...

1x TRS > TRS
2x RCA > TRS

Yep, that's what I thought - problem now is getting the final cable (RCA > TRS) I can only see one available with RCA to a single balanced TRS. I want two mono TRSs don't I?

I can only see a cable that is RCA to single balanced TRS. Can you point me in the direction of the correct cable please?

Ah think i've found one now!!

Would this not work?

Send and return in the normal way for exf1000 and djm800 using TRS.

Then with the EFX1000 RCA inputs and outputs link that out of the EFX into the KP3 - then out of the KP3 back into the EFX then down the line to the return on the DJM?

I'll probably daisy chain, just curious to know if the above would work too?

No - you're creating a double-loop which wouldn't work.

You'd need to find the cable.

Check here, look on page 12 of the catalog (page 14 of the PDF) for the CPR cables.

Sorry, I should have made it clear that you can use a TS instead of a TRS and it will work the same.
