Tommy Lee isn't a "DJ" in the traditional sense - he's more of a VJ / audio manipulator. Aero is his DJ and he did a FANTASTIC job.

Im really sorry I missed this party.. It looked amazing. From what I remember with the pictures (Pictures are not poping up at the moment)(Might be my computer at work!! lol)the SVM 1000 was right by the DJM 800. My question is where both of the Mixers connected. If they were how were they connected? Thanks.. Also if there are any more pics from Pacha on that night can someone please point me to them?? Thank you!!

The photos HAVE been moved... check the full gallery HERE.
I was the one in charge of ensuring all the systems were properly connected and working in the short changes between acts. In most cases, the audio was run out of the DJM800 and the visuals were run on the SVM. For a couple of them, the audio went from the 800 and into a channel on the SVM, which mixed that input plus the inputs from the DVJs. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

Very cool.. How was the DJM 800 connected to the SVM 1000? Was it by RCA or was it using the Digital out and in Links on the mixers? Just curious.. By the Way the pictures are very cool.. You really went all out on this. I think its completly amazing and exciting at the same time.. Im looking forward to checking out the SVM 1000. Thank you for posting the pictures..

Yeah, Drew did a great job of snapping pix. Mike McNulty also got some great photos but he doesn't seem to have them in a gallery.
When the DJM was connected as the house system, it was XLR outs and the SVM (if it fed audio) was on a digital input. When reversed and the SVM was the master, the DJM fed it analog (because the -20dB digital just doesn't work for interconnects). Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |
