What's up? why has this forum been silent for almost a month?

I would have thought there'd be much discussion following the Nightclub & Bar show since we all had opportunities to play with the new mixer, and to see all of the forum celebrities play live.

Or maybe that's why the crickets are chirping...

I agree, I thought the shows in Vegas and NAMM would inspire big talk about the SVM, and other gear?????

I think it's just a quiet time and with the economy not so stable; DJs are laying low and waiting to see what happens. That's all I got to explainwhy there hasn't been a post here in a month..

If the new mixer had more trans I would buy one but I like the v4. I biught a Sandisk media veiwer for $25 and run that into an input and with an 800 mixer I do not see what i am missing for mixing r&b and hip hop. I do not do post stuff just real time mixxing. To many cheaters if u cant do it live and on the fly I do not think u r doing anything. Thats like lip sinking. And $6000 wow

I think you will find that not many people have got £7000/$15000 to spend on dj stuff so not much point in talking about it,

It would only do your head in every time you played on the mk3,s cos you would wish you had a dvj system, o the dreams the dreams

once up on a time in a land far far away blar blar blar blar blar zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

You might think that but there's a reason the SVM is SOLD OUT.

Yeah, because they probably had an initial production run of what? 20 units?

Seriously though, I can appreciate the wonders of the SVM, I remember well the first time I got to mess around with the DVJ-X1. I got that same feeling when I nervously approached the Pioneer booth at The Show.

I just don't think that Pioneer, with the ability to build this $6,000 touch-screen pornstar, has served the community of people who have already poured $6,000 into a pair of DVJ's (or more, I know some readers have several) by failing to produce a scaled-down model with a significantly lower MSRP.

But with Pio's track record, just wait another 2 1/2 years and they'll bring out a new mixer with more features and lower the price by a grand!
