If you were offered a free DVD burner would you prefer a stand alone external burner or a internal burner. Both would burn at the same speed so that is not a deciding factor.

INTERNAL

EXTERNAL

Both have advantages. Internal - evrything in one package.
External - transportable.

I would go for the internal myself.

Please note - the picture Karl is showing is not a common "stand-alone" burner (like one might have in a home stereo stack), it's an external FW / USB2 burner for a PC or Mac.

Karl, you do mean an external computer burner, right?

I'd be allupons for the external model - transportability from computer to computer, plus, it'd work with my laptop (should I ever upgrade).

I'd would say internal.But the majority of the populous would rather prefer external, because it's more efficient to connect.Not everyone is on the same intelligence level as PIONEER Djs are hehehe....Trend

Well K-man (nevermind me Karl, I'm with the acronyms today), I'd say your only option is external... since this will allow more people to take advantage of the prize:

External = Internal + Portable + MultiPC's + PC or MAC (!!) + People that just have a laptop

<=>

External = better for a survey prize!

^_^, I love marketing...

Zet

P.S. - I have Pioneer's Internal (DVR-AO6) and it ROCKS!! (burning every format... just had to be pioneer )

External. That way you can take it to the shows and of course to the "lab."
