Look how stupid your video looks when you do those "Medium" Scratches. Why are you using Visual hub when your barking on about AVI files? Nice Red Bull and other company promos. How much was your TTM57SL???? Those are video FX.????? How long did it take you to convert your files? Is your Promo only license allow you to rip and convert your DVDs like that? Transitions are dumb when it comes to video FX.......Having some other video attached to your non-video clip is a feature? It will look stupid.

easy k-tel....this isn't my video. I just want to know what you guys think.
I've been wanting to step into the VJ market...just not sure where to start or when to start. I still might wait a few more years to see if this really catches on outside of the club market. For now in my area it has not. We have one guy that does this and he is making some good money 6 days a week.

The SSL video is still in Beta mode. If you wanna jump in on 1st generation stuff in Beta Mode ??? The DVJs are rock solid.....

So sorry about the "Your" but you didn't give any indication that this wasn't your stuff.

Are you getting into this to make more money or to do something new and innovative.....honestly the whole DVJing of music videos is pretty boring to me.

Check out what DJ Yoda is doing with his DVJs.
That is innovation!!!!!!!!

The reality is that Video from ONE machine will never (or at least, not for a while) equal up to the video from TWO DVJ's.

IIRC, EACH DVJ has 3 gigs of RAM and a dedicated processor (that is designed specifically for video work) that runs at the equivalent of like a P4 @ 3 GHZ. There's a bunch of other stuff in there that takes care of various other things as well.

Pulse did the math on it once, and it seems to me that the pure video throughput of a DVD stream (even ONE DVD stream) manipulated the way a DVJ does is actually too much for even a top-of-the-line laptop today to handle (desktop machine - maybe... but you'd really need TWO of them to equal up to two DVJ's, so you're not really ahead at all!).

V-SSL is cool, and a great idea for the "low end" video jock, but nothing on the market today compares to the DVJ and it looks like it's going to stand alone for a while.
