I just got Cinematize and it's a very slick ripping tool. For you seasoned VJs, I need some help w/ this program:

1. Is there a way to easily rip all the tracks and store them as different files?

2. Any tips/settings to get best results?

3. This program was only $59.95. Are there any programs out there that may be better?

Thanks.

I haven't tried decrypter, but did try DVD Shrink. I exported the .vob files and other associated files as well. I tried to join them and that made one .vob file. The process took too long. And I stil never got my .mov, .avi or .mpg file.

Yes....

1) Add files and the Select the VTS (it will read DVD Data)
2) If you want all the Chapters in a title
a) Your start point is already set
b) Click End Point, then select the last chapter from the pull down menu (again read DVD Data)
3) This should now set your in/out points for what you want to grab
4) Go to Video Tab: and set your settings accordingly
(if you want to edit in FCP set to this: Video Stream: Main Video Stream, Decoding: Decode to Quicktime, Decoding Mode: Auto, Output Codec: DV/DVCPRO-NTSC, Output Quality: High Quality, Aspect Ratio: Automatic Adjustment)
5) Go to Audio Tab: and set accordingly
(Audio stream: Audio 1, Decoding: Elementary Stream)
6) Go to Subtitle Page: set accordingly
7) Go to Output Page: this is the settings your looking for
(Save Chapters: As Separate Segments, Save QT as: Self contained file with all data,
output Format: Quicktime File)

that's what I use to rip to be able to edit the videos in FCP.
