I have a DXM06 2 ch Numark mixer.

I want to purchase a EFX - 500, but I am not sure if I can connect it to my mixer.

Any help would be great.

Thanx

by the looks for things you can do it two ways...

if you're going to be using the effects on only one channel then run the rca's from your input (cd deck or tt) into the return of the efx, then from the send of the efx the rca's into your mixer's channel line input

if you going to be using the effects over the master output only then you can run either the rca's or trs 1/4" from the master into the the corresponding return inputs on the efx, and then the send outputs to your amp/stereo etc

you cannot effect either ch1 or ch2 independantly as your mixer doesn't have external send/return in/outs. your mixer already has some of the effects that the efx 500 has - are you just wanting more control and other effects?

Yea, I am just trying to personalize my mixes as much as I can.

All I can think of is getting the EFX or a new DJM400.

Im still not so sure.

If I got the DJM - 400 would I be able to hook up a EFX the proper way when I decide to buy one?

with the djm-400 the answer is still a no unfortunately - as the mixer doesn't have send/return in/out.

for the "proper" connection from the pioneer range would be the djm-500, 600, 700, 800.

the djm-1000 is there too, it has it's own efx-link so it negates the need to use 1/4" cables or rca to connect. with this mixer you can also run two effects units aswell if that caters to your budget
