- Hmmm my beatmatching is alright but those lil fine adjustments to make it perfectly beatmatched and not touch the jogwheel... how can i make it perfect everytime? and how can i beatmatch really fast? it usually takes me really long.
i wanna make it perfect cuiz i find it hard to fiddle with the pitch, jogwheel and eq, faders at the same time - if u have any tips please tell me so. this is my method. say the kicks are off i use the jogwheel and depending where i move it rigfht or left... say right... then i will move the ptich faster and the lil movements on the jogwell to get the kicks together. is this right? oh and ive been praticing for quite awhile now. so dont answer me with this just practice thing . lol i want some detials. ty ps: do you guys always beatmactch perfectly? like have them perfect or you have to fiddle with em? yes, moving the outer rim/platter on a cdj-1000/800 will mimic creating drag (left) or speed up (right) like on a turntable. this is fine to do... i do it, i'm sure a lot of other people do it, some people maybe not do it too. lol
i would muck around with the eq earlier to get it closer to what i want before bringing it into the mix. then finer tempo adjustments following that. i make any finer adjustments to the eq later if that makes sense? |

beatmatching isnt really a science, it's a fine art. beyond what Jussy just said about fine tuning, you gotta PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.

Exactly : Practice
After few years you'll beat-match at almost 0.1% of the second track in 5 seconds and perfectly beat-match in 15. Then you'll have more time to spend in adjusting EQs, playing with effects, using a 3rd CDJ, etc. |
