Is it okay to Power Down a CDJ with a CD in the player? I'm reading conflicting information from another website.

Player will not be moved after being powered down.

I would advise against powering down with the CD inside, not because I know whether it's safe or not to do so - but rather because someone else might move the unit. Heck, you might even forget that you left the CD in there and move it yourself, or do what I've done in the past which is pack up your CD case sans CD in question. Then you get to the next gig and you're in the middle of your sick set then POW! can't remember where I put that darn CD!!!

Given those variables, it's probably better to eject before powering down.

Chances are you wouldn't damage anything, by why take the chance? For the extra 5 seconds it takes to pop a CD out, just do it.

Thanks all....I'll just eject the cd's. I always did in the past, just didn't want to screw anything up incase I leave them in.
