Hi guys, hope you're all well.
I've been teaching a friend of mine to DJ on my setup; CDJ1000s, DJM600 and Technics (we haven't touched the turntables yet though!). Anyway he's decided that he want to get his own stuff and I was thinking of pointing him towards a couple of CDJ200s and a DJM400, unless anyone has a better suggestion for about the same price!? My other question is about how easy it will be for him to switch between the two? I remember when I first got my Technics I had to almost relearn everything I'd learnt from my rubbish first set of turntables. Now with several years of practice under my belt it's not so much a problem but I can imagine a beginner struggling to adapt? Maybe I'm doing him a disservice though and he'll be fine with it after all! |

The beauty of Pioneer CDJs is that they are all laid out the same. If he learns on DJS or 200s or 1000s, they all have a similar set-up in their layout and should make trhe transition pretty easy.
I would think going Vinyl to CD would take a little bit of getting used to, but even then not so much that it wouldn't work??? Pioneer National Trainer & Product Specialist |

Cheers. I thought it wouldn't be a massive leap but having only ever used 800s or 1000s myself I didn't know how different they would be!
