Ow do!
I buy a fair bit of my music online and when it comes to labeling up my cdr's my writings terrible and I can't fit all the info on. Does anybody use those sticky label kit's? How do you find them? More worries are they get a bit of wear going in and out of the cd wallet I spose but will the lable unbalance the cd and make a difference to pitch adjustmenT? Cheers Lump |

it sounds like you may be placing a bunch of track on one cd. the best solution to this is to print out your playlist and place the slip infront of the cd inside the cd wallet. label the cd with a sharpie "deep house 001" and then "deep house 002" to correspond with the slip and playlist so you know where it belongs.
sticky lables are a very risky thing!! stop doing this!! not only do lables fade out, but the last thing you want is the lable to accidentally lift inside the cdj!!! George |

^^ exactly what george said. I just use a Sharpie and write what CD number it is right on the cd, then go off a printed card in each sleeve.

I write the BPM range on the CD. And I put around 12 remixed tracks on a CD no problem writing this on a sleeve.

the cd for us players is a living thing, like a carton of milk, they have a life span. anticipate replacing the "hit discs" often, to avoid the possibility of a skip, save your mixes and the labels for the sleeve on the PC, and consolidate often.
although it may seem cool to "show off" a big, meticulous collection to the client, nothing good has ever come from it, and plenty bad has. This message has been edited. Last edited by: PeterMichael, |

the only off topic post here is someone deciding that they need to correct another member of this forum. thanks for that. for the record I am an extreme optimist, and my contribution to this open "forum" was indeed on topic, and what I felt after some 17 years to be a hard learned essential bit of opinion.
