Hello,
I want to buy a beginners set up and am thinking of CDJ400s and perhaps DJM400 mixer. 1. I don't have the most amont of money in the world and was wondering if the DJM400 features and functions overlap on the CDJ400s? 2. Also, would it be possible to have 1 x CDJ400 and 1 x CDJ200 to save some dosh. 3. What other mixers could you guys recommend? 4. Is it worth biting the bullet and just going for it? Much appreciated! |

If it comes down to saving money, I'd suggest you buy an el-cheapo mixer and get the CDJ400's. You'll regret the mixer but remind yourself that it's only temporary and upgrade when you have the money.

If you want to save, buy 2 new CDJ200, you could save $500 by buying 2 new CDJ200 opposed to 2 new CDJ400. Then buy the El-cheapo mixer. If you want a few more extra features (USB MP3 and extra effects)go w/ the CDJ400s. I would save and buy 2 new CDJ400 and a Pioneer DJM-400 mixer. You would be happy and not have to upgrade for a while.
