Hi all,
First; Is Pioneer DJM 1000 (instead of the 800) with 2 Pioneer CDJ-1000 MKIII compatible with Virtual Dj? Second; Is Denon DN-X 1500 K Matrix-In-DJ-Mixer with 2 Denon DN-S 3500 compatible with Virtual Dj? Thirth; Is Allen & Heath Xone:3D with 2 Stanton C.324 compatible with Virtual Dj? Suggestions are very welcome! Because its a jungle out there :d Thanks, Muis This message has been edited. Last edited by: Muis, |

I quote the answer I got from Virtual Dj.com
"We do not have that mixer in our inventory of mixers that have been tested. However, according to the Pioneer documentation, only the crossfader is assignable via MIDI. With VirtualDJ's MIDI configuration utility you should be able to assign the crossfader to the internal VirtualDJ crossfader. However this is the extent of configuration that could be made with that mixer." |

First - we can't discuss competitor's gear.
Second - VirtualDJ's forum is the best place to get answers regarding VirtualDJ software. Third - what is it you're tying to do with the software that you're asking about the hardware? Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I want to be able to mix cd's and mp3 stored on the computer. So 4 sources to a mixer. This is the basic principle of what I want to do. |

VirtualDJ only offers 2 decks so you'd only have 2 outputs (2 devices).

And the 2 CDJ-1000 MKIII makes 4
Reason for this is that I am not going to burn all my songs to cd. A laptop with external H.D. and Virtual dj DJM-800 mixer and 2, CDJ-1000 MKIII nice do you think so 2? |

The lights won't illuminate because VirtualDJ does not yet support HID mode (aka Native Mode) for the player. It is sending MIDI signal for control TO the computer but not receiving any information.

No, the 400 mixer isn't midi capable.

ok thanks. What if i leave the virtual dj crossfader in the middle, could i fade between the two decks on the djm 400, since the cdj 400s will be connected to it?

Ok, so even though the djm 400 is not MIDI compliant, could i still use the effects on the audio that will be passing through from my laptop since the cdj 400s will be used as controllers? thanks again
In relation to my question about the effects how about the use of the equalizer with audio from the laptop? |

Yes - you can do anything to the audio returning from the software via the CDJs to the mixer which you would normally do with any audio running through it.
As for the EQs, it doesn't matter what your source is - just as above, any audio can be manipulated in the same way. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |
