Hy,
I have some problems with my EFX. First off all I have to ask what is the recommended length of SEND/RETURN cables. Mines are now 3 meter long. The problem appears when I activate the SEND/RETURN. When I press the button the highs (Treble) of the tune are reduced in volume. Not much but enough to hear them. Also if one CDJ is playing a tune, channel selector is on channel of the CDJ and SEND/RETURN activated when i move the channel selector to another channel I can hear a crack and I can see the LED going half of the green area. Is this normal ? I dont think so. Please notice that all EQ are set to flat when I am testing this. Mixer is DJM 800 + CDJ 1000 MK3 Hopping for an answer! Regards, John Doe |

Do you have any of the effects engaged and have you made sure to adjust the input and output levels of the EFX properly?
Are your cables wired correctly (no shorts, no crossing of hot and ground)? Lengths of 3m shouldn't be an issue - only when you get to 10m would I be worried, not about the length of cable but how far you have to run to use the effector. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

The input and the output levels are set to 12 o'clock.
No effect is engaged when I press the button and notice highs changes or move the channel selector and notice the crack. Also the crack is 100% reproducible. Every time I move the channel selector I can hear the crack. The cables are brand new, I both them 2 days ago. I was thinking at the same issue and first think was to change the cables. Could this be a problem of EFX?? Maybe mine is broken |

Do you have the Send/Return ON when you switch the channel selector?
You should be sure to set the levels as follows... 1) play your source on any channel with the S/R off 2) ensure all effects on the EFX are OFF and the effect level is at 12 3) turn the S/R on 4) adjust the INPUT LEVEL on the EFX until the levels match (flip the S/R on and off repeatedly) 5) select the WAH jog effect and flip the switch on 6) adjust the OUTPUT LEVEL on the EFX until the levels match Don't just set the dials to 12 o'clock. See if it still affects the audio. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

Yes, the S/R is ON when I move the channel selector.
Setting the dials to 12 o'clock was the result of your 6 steps that you provided. Besides the highs slightly decrease the volume, the mids and bass remain at the same volume. I know it sounds wired, but this is what it is happening and I dont know why. |

Hrm, well, I have no explanation for that - maybe contact tech support for your area.
