Hi guys,

I have been searching for this track for 15 years now, never heard it anywhere except my DIY : SImon DK, New Years 1992 Bath free party tape, which I have sampled here...

Heres the first half of the track...

http://www.myfileupload.net/download.php?file=ec5c4573bb5448151e74ea5bbffe5805

Apparantly the sample is Harry Dean Stanton saying 'She was very beautiful, y'know''

If anyone can help I will be incredibly grateful, and can help out with great mix tapes etc...

Thanks in advance! Smiler

Yeah I think its been sampled heavily, or whatever the beats come from has been sampled heavily....(if that track is not the source)

The track is from at least 1992, possibly earlier as thats when the tape is from Smiler

Sorry I cannot listen to that Idjut boys track as I dont have itunes, I gather the bongos sounded similar, but it was not the track I want?

Thanks anyway....

Sorry, neither Midomi nor Shazam were able to find it. Tried Musicbrainz?

Thanks for trying pulse, I really didnt expect anyone to find it as I have been mixing and buying records since 1993 and have never come across it anywhere else but this tape. I have even tried emailing Simon DK but he doesnt have a web page or anything like that so I cannot. I am sure he would help me if I could speak to him, I used to dance to his sets all night every weekend around that time Big Grin

Its possibly an obscure white label, but I hope not.

Thanks for looking and pls remember this thread if you ever hear it again Smiler

I will try musicbrains

I feel your pain. There are still dozens of tunes that I'm after to this day and I am doubtful if I will ever find out the name of them let alone find them anywhere. On a positive note, I just managed to find about 5 tracks today that I've been after for 10 years. A new digital download store opened in the UK and I sat for hours going through each track on 21 pages! It paid off. It's not on vinyl, but it's the next best thing I guess.

Good luck with your search! If you ever come across iTunes, check out that link as it may help you if you know where the samples originate or where they were used.

Try Allmusic.com Pulse turned us on to this site to check the geners on songs for the contest that just ended. This site has a lot of info.

If you know the song name or who it's by it may be on this site.

I have looked up some very hard to find tracks and thay were listed here and many of them had links where you can buy. Even some club bands from the early 80's that I have been trying to find.

Thats the problem you see Mikey, I have no idea what the song is called or who its by.

Will keep trying however Smiler

I am thinking the only way I am going to find this track is by talking to the DJ who played it on the tape.

If it is, it's not off of "I Must Increase my Bust", "Lust", "Our Little Secret", "The Crablouse", or "Voodoo U"
