I think it only goes up to top 30 hip hop songs but its pretty comprehensive and updated weekly. www.power106.fm . Btw, its a local radio station around here. I also check out www.thebeatla.com and www.billboard.com

i never understood why dj's used charts (unless they're spinning a format which they don't properly understand). just feel it out & rock it hard.
edit: sorry double post. |

sup man,
I am sure of the hip hop radio stations in your area have websites posting their hot 10 list or something like that. You might wanna check them out and see what's on their list. But, i agree w/ the other post, you gotta play songs that move people, regardless if they are brand new or old. With hiphop i think you can get away w/ mixing very old school stuff with new songs as long as you can correctly read the crowd and mix properly. peace djamer |

Hey Wad up ALl???
Thanks for the help. Pazaal the only reason I used that chart was to hear about songs that I had not heard before. half the songs I saw on the list were garbage, but there were prob a dozen songs that I had not heard and were eventually hit singles. By me finding out these songs before they were palyed publically I was able to drop them at parties and clubs before everyone else. Also I just like to stay on top of whats new, the music played in the east and in the south is completely diferent than the styles they play on the radio in cali, so its good to hear what was being played around the country. HOLLA!!!!!!!!!!!! |

True, I really think SoCal is behind the 8 ball on Music. Everytime I go back to Boston and New York, I hear tunes that won't break in SoCal until about 6 months later??????
I'll be in Naples and Miami in March, there I'll get tunes a year before they hit here ![]() Pioneer National Trainer & Product Specialist |
