hey people im new to the whole djing thing recently purchased a cd1000, cd800 and djm600 and must say im really taking a shinning to it really enjoyin it, only thing is i cant seem to record
any help please , please dont blast me lol also could the problem be i have pluged the cord into the back on sub? , reason for this is because if i plug it in the back of the computer i dont get no sound?? evan This message has been edited. Last edited by: evankolovos, |

I'm not quite sure I know what you're talking about...
1) What is the Belkin cord and where is it connected? 2) Have you configured your audio input within the software so it's receiving signal from the mixer? 3) What is it you connected to the sub? Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

Ya, you need to set Audacity to see the Line In from the mixer. You also need to set the line in on the PC..

the belink cord is a cord with RCA's at one end and a jack at the other the RCA end is connected into the back on the mixer and the other end into back of the sub,
no i have configured it to receiving signals from the mixer , how do i do so? the sub is connected to the headphonejack (back of computer) how do i set audacity to receive signals from the sub?? thanks heaps for ur help , please get back to me |

Okay, well there's your problem....
The cord you have is an RCA-to-minijack. You have it connected to the sub but I'm assuming that the jack isn't a "line-in". You need to get yourself a proper soundcard and connect it directly that way. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

ahh no worryies cheers i get ha i just used my brothers computer its alot newer it working now , but the recording is distored hard ? :S

That's because the input levels (Windows, I'm guessing) are too hot. Go to the sound control panel and adjust the LINE INPUT levels so the recording is peaking around -6dB.
