Sure - a lot of programs can do it. I use Poikosoft's EZ CD-DA Extractor which also does cross-conversion.

I'm new to this digital stuff but I thought a WAV file is near CD quality where as an Mp3 is a chopped up WAV file. How is it possible to fill the gaps of an Mp3 to creat a WAV file?

It uses pixie dust and magic to fill the gaps. Actually, it's smart algorithms which "fill" the information in the same way that the master tempo function is able to maintain the key while stretching the audio at -10%.
You'll NEVER end up with the same quality but at least you'll have a wave file instead of an MP3. It doesn't mean it's better, it's just uncompressed. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |
