Please take a look at my program Musical Palette - Melody Composing Tool.
The program is based on the composition theory and harmony theory. The site of the program is located here:

It's advertising but it's interesting, so I'm going to leave it... on one condition.

I ask that you post a bit more information about the program and how DJs can use it for their purposes. If you copy and paste something from your website, I'll simply delete the entire thread.

I get the gist of what you are up to here, s nice tool for a beginning songwriter, or one with limited repertoire. Let me know when you release the "coldplay" version of this software. Smiler

I would question what is going on with weekend.mp3, IMO a wrong note is played at :35 and the second bar of emily.mp3 is highly questionable as to "what in the hell is going on" - considering this to be a "harmonic" software, that second bar sounds like the predecessor to this software, which was actually done experimentally with a room full of Valium induced chimps.

It's probably technically correct - but whether or not it's pleasing to the ear is another question. I've seen that happen a few times before.

I like this thing - pretty nifty for a useless songwriter like me.

The program has very simple intuitive interface. There is demo that shows how to use the program and how to compose.
The program provides the 'palettes' of the chords, methods of motive development (variation, sequence and so on). Program knows the logic of functional motion, voice-leading rules(the terms from harmony theory), it helps to build the chords progressions.

...and how does that all apply to DJs.

(I understand it because I understand musical theory, but many of our forum members won't necessarily comprehend that.)

The melody is heart of the music. Melody composing is a dream of the any who relates with music, from my point of view. And the program does not require the knowledge of the theory. Just see demo-script one time, it is enough to work with program.

Ilya,

I don't want a sales pitch, if you want me to leave the link above, I want you to tell us how the average DJ will benefit from using your program.
