Hi all. Got a bit of a strange problem hopefully you guys can help solve.

Basically got a DJM300, 2 CDJ 800, and i just picked up a Maudio Firewire410.

When i plug the DJM300 to the Firewire410 i get no input signals coming in and my recordings are blank. I tried both Master1 and 2.

So i unplugged the mixer and plugged a cdj in direct. I now get input signal and a proper recording.

I took the Firewire410 and my notebook to a friends house and connected it to his DJM 600 and his DJM 500. Both get me an input signal and a proper recording.

I went back home and connected my DJM300 again. No input signal and a blank recording.

Am i missing something here? Both the DJM500 and DJM 600 have a record out. Does that make a difference?

Thanks

That's odd. If you plug the 300 into a regular set of amp+speakers (or just amplified speakers) do you get any volume?

Record outs don't matter. Some people just like to use them because they aren't tied to the master output, which can really be helpful if you can't blast your speakers at full volume while recording.

And you are aware of the 300's master knob, right? (I only ask because it's in a bit of a weird spot and some people don't think to use it).

Regarding speakers, i have an amplified speaker plugged in. I had 2 but now only have 1(blew one). Will that make a difference.

So basically when i was trying,
Master1 L -> active speaker, Master1 R - > empty
Master2 L -> FirewireInput1, Master2 R - > FirewireInput2

and vice versa.

So, yes there was sound when i was testing it. Normaly when im practising at home, i got 1 speaker and my headphones.

Yes, im aware of the Master Volume in the bottom right corner. I had it at 12 o clock. Reading more posts people are saying to record at 0db. ill try that without the speakers to see if it works, but my instinct tells me that it may clip

When i say that there is no signal. The green input light blinks along with the red(clipping) then both go out. With the CDJ i get a steady green light.

Thanks for the input. Anything else you can think of for me to try?

No, it won't make a difference if one of your speakers is blown.

Which input lights "blink and then go out"? On your Firewire410?
