Hi, im using iTunes to burn my audio CD's but the text title etc. is not appearing on the CDJ's screen.

I read a topic on here about ticking CD-Text in itunes but can't find that option anywhere.

I have labelled my songs correctly and used ID3 Tags etc.

Any help? Thanks, Jon

I believe its in the 'options' tab
where you can check it off.

Either that or 'preferences'

Ive tried the options tab and preferences, its not there.

I know i don't have the latest version but i updated not long ago, surely the option is on the version before the newest?

There are XP users that havent updated to SP2?!

Why? SP2 is when XP became a really good OS... and from what i've heard of the Beta, SP3 is stacking up to make it even better.

Yes, those who have hacked versions that MS decided to block from receiving updates. And those without teh intarwebz.

Of course, I'm not accusing anyone here of doing that...

I'm the first to admit that OSX is better, but you can't deny that XP is a good OS. A whole lot better than Vista, that's for sure.

I've been on Vista since 3/2007. This is the longest time I've gone without reinstalling Windows. I don't see what the problem is. My computer is MUCH more stable. It's been over 10 months and I see no need to reinstall Windows. My computer is pretty moderate for today athlon x2 3800, nvidia 7950, 3gb ram (I added 2gb of ram before I went to vista). The search, start menu, and UI are my favorite things. Vista for me is now like my mac, I don't even care when new drivers for my components come out as everything works great. The only program of mine that doesn't work as it did in XP is Palm Desktop (which sucks anyway); frustrating, but then so is the phone. My solution is to just get rid of the phone.

I also use a mac to dj on; that said my time is split 75% on the PC & 25% on the mac. I preferred OSX 10.4 to XP, but prefer Vista to both. I haven't used OSX 10.5 yet so I can't comment.

Actually XP isn't a very good OS but it is mature, what Vista is not. I went to a lot of Microsoft seminars about Vista (security, administration, etc.) and they improved everything on this OS, they have great ideas and worked well. Knowing how this system is built helps in understanding why it is most of the time slow and require a recent configuration to run at the same speed of a XP.

Paazel, you should try Leopard, they are some innovative features Smiler

However, as long as Microsoft will refuse to implement an Unix kernel (Maybe for Windows Seven? :P), OSX will still be better ^^

I'm as much a *nix fan as the next guy, but who says MS couldn't ever build an OS that's as good or better?

I'm no MS fan, but I don't hate them either, contrary to most IT people. I guess I still give them the benefit of the doubt. Call me an optimist.

They can, but they would have to start from scratch Big Grin
I personally don't hate MS, I've to recognize that they have developed impressive and powerful solutions for large computer networks. The point is that using windows implies having a technical supports dedicated. Thing that end-users can't afford. That's why I will recommend Macs as home computers. Then, for pro usage we can choose between OSX, xBSD, Linux and Windows which have both their advantages and defaults.

Hi.

I installed SP2, Updated iTunes. I've got the option to 'Include CD Text' so i click it. As soon as i go to Burn Disc, the Include CD Text option greys out, it burns the disc and the Text still does not show on my CDJ's. This has happened with every CD I've burnt.

After burning is complete the option comes back and ticked again.

Annoying =/

Any ideas? Jon

You can't change burning settings while burning !
You just have to click 'Include CD Text' with no CD in the drive.
Then when you click Burn TEXT infos will be burned out.

Yea i know that!

What I meant is I've got 'Include CD Text' ticked, burnt a CD and it doesnt show on my CDJ's with EVERY CD.

So whilst burning another CD i went on preferences and the box is unticked and greyed out.

When burning was finished, it was back ticked.
