there is a file in your system that is called the "cdfs.vxd" that controlls the way that the system reads CD's. there is a modified version of this file on the internet. just go to yahoo.com and search for cdfs.vxd you will find the new version that allows your computer to read .cda files as .wav files with your choice of sampling rate and mono/stereo.

I have found that this works much better than most "rip" programs..

good luck.

Enthalpy - does it allow you to save them tho? I've never heard of that method before.

Mac - I use Adaptec's EZCD-DA, found it works just as well as any other... I'm still trying to find one that will allow me to monitor the levels because I find that sometimes the wav gets ripped really hot (too close to 0dB or even above - clipping some of the wav).
