Hey,

I have the following problem:

SETUP:
M-Audio Fast Track Pro
Pioneer DJM-800 djmixer (48khz sample rate in spdif)
Windows XP, cubase SX2

I recorded a SPDIF digital signal from DJM800 to Fast track pro.
The recording was working fine until I accidentally unplugged the SPDIF cable and re-connected it. After that, the recording is badly distorted:

Is there any way to recover the clean signal? I have the original WAV files on my hdd. Maybe its possible to filter or dither out the noise?

It might also help to know that Pioneer DJM800 had 48khz output and I recorded it in 44.1khz in cubase. afterwards I just had to set the samplerate to 48khz in the wav files for proper playback.

At this point I'm pretty sure that the original signal can never be restored but I'm pretty desperate so if any of you guys could give me some helpful advice I'd be really grateful.

cheers in advance,
Nighteyes

None that I've learned of, sorry. If I understand, it's the digital jitter due to an un-synced clock which caused the recording noise. There may be some way to clean it up but unless it's super important, you may just have to call off the dogs.
