Remixes that were produced by someone else were allowed.

The reason was because it was mashups combine decades, genres, etc. and made it too hard to judge.

I used a remix as well.

All of this is my interpretation.

I can't speak for Pulse's thoughts, but I had no issues with anything I listened to.

If you use straight tracks, it gets a bit boring to mix or listen to unless you effect them or are very good at beat mixing it up. I have always thought the best remix contest would be with songs that we provide you with so it's a skillz vs skillz deal.

I think that will be the next contest, we name 5 well known tracks that most DJs will have and then you present a mix of those tracks in any way you want.. Perfect, expect that contest next month..

All my tracks were played just as I bought them I used no samples, I did not remix any of the tracks. I did not edit any tracks, the only thing I changed on the tracks was the BPM.

I studed all the tracks to find the best place to mix into and out of, I done the mix live, I made 4 takes of my set back to back to back I recored the tracks live to a CD and the best set was #2 and that is why when you load the track it says track 2.

I did not use any mash-ups,or samples,or re edit any of the tracks, The ganres were conformed with Allmusic.com (Hollaback Girl was listed as Rock on Allmusic and I E-mailed Pulse and djjay and thay agreed it was Pop)

I did not try to get over on any one or try to push the limets of the rules.

I have and EFX-500 and I have 2 samplers I did not use any of them. I could have used the EFX but I did not want there to be any confusion that I used a sample.

I get all the music I DJ with from Thesourceformusic.com I have listed all the tracks Info. please feel free to go to there web site and check the tracks for your self.

I follow all the rules that were layed out and I hope this will clear any issue that I cheated or pushed the rules or bent them.

Thank again to the others that entered as I thought this was fun.

the DIRECT URL to your mix (audio or video)
- the tracklist (Artist / Song / Mix / Year / "Edit" if the track was edited)

This is from Pulse please note that is says (Artist/Song/Mix/Year)

Guy please don't misunderstand I am not accusing anyone of cheating and definatley don't want to be on the haters list. Red Face I clearly misunderstood the rules and it prevented me from entering. I guess I should have spoke up and asked some questions before instead of later. Sorry.
I listen at all the mixes and I think they all deserve props for atleast doing one.

Mikey I don't think you are/were cheating.

What we do have is some awesome swag which hasn't been available in the US before! Unfortunately, because of my recent move, it's all packed away in a box somewhere and I don't remember exactly what's in the box! I DO know that Mikey has won himself $50 at BeatPort for some new choonz, the rest of the swag will be listed out and divvied up when I return from my trip to Minneapolis

Any idea when the swag will be sent out?

Here dey iz! Dem prizes!

First, my apologies for the delay in serving these up... it didn't help that I packed the prizes away before the move and wound up not being able to get at them. Frowner

Second, I have to apologize to Mikey - I previously said a $50 giftcard for Beatport ... turns out it's a $10 card. Frowner Not the end of the world, I've pumped up your prize pile a bit more to compensate.

So what did they win? Well, to refresh your memory, here was the final order:

Mikey
Omega
Ryan
Dean

Mikey has won:
- $10 Beatport gift card

- A SUPER RARE "J'adore la DJ" T-shirt[/URL] (from Pioneer Europe, the shirt can be seen in this YouTube viddo)

- A VERY RARE "SVM-1000 The Future Of The Mix" launch party T-shirt

- A VERY COMMON "Pioneer Sound Vision Soul" T-shirt

- A sheet of assorted Pioneer Pro DJ stickers

- A Pioneer-Logo'd Case Logic MP3 Travel Kit

- 1GB Pioneer Flash Drive

The rest of y'all won:

- A VERY COMMON "Pioneer Sound Vision Soul" T-shirt

- A Pioneer-Logo'd Case Logic MP3 Travel Kit

- 1GB Pioneer Flash Drive

If any of you guys have a PSP or DS, the MP3 kit will fit them perfectly.

The shirts are available in Large, Large and Large... and no, you don't have a choice. If you really don't want it, I'll re-use it in another contest.

Email me your mailing addresses and I'll ship this swag out to you as soon as I receive them.

Congrats again.
