That's right, two new Pioneer contests are a-brewin' because I've got a bunch of swag to give away! So what is this contest you ask? How do I get some of this amazing free stuff? Simple - photos!

Pioneer has started a Flickr group: PioneerDJ

Your task will be to submit a photo for one of the two contests:
Best Booth
We have pictures of PVD playing in the main rooms of Ibiza clubs, but we'd rather see YOUR booth. Show us your home or mobile setup or even the local club in which you spin. Have a friend take a photo of you rockin' the crowd (be sure we can see the booth!) or simply snap your photo when the party's over. Our interest here is the setup and beauty of your rig.

Most Creative Pioneer Product Photo
This one's for all the photogs out there, get those filters or fish-eye lenses out or simply up the shutter time and snap a creative photo of your Pioneer gear. One piece or a whole coffin's worth, make it as interesting as you can. You're allowed to Photoshop your file, but please mark it as such (see rule 5 below).

Rules
With every contest, there are rules. Here's ours:

1) You must be a forum member! It doesn't matter if you're new and only register so you can participate, non-forum members will be omitted from judging. Please be sure to add your forum username in the comments.

2) This contest is open only to forum members from Canada or the USA (lower 48 states). Sorry my international friends, you'll have to wait for the next one.

3) You must have taken the photo yourself (or had a friend take it for you). If I find out that you've borrowed or stolen the photo from another photographer or website, you'll be disqualified from the contest(s), banned from the group and shamed on the forums.

4) The photo must feature at least one piece of Pioneer equipment.

5) If you apply any post-production (Photoshop, GIMP or other editing or manipulation), please indicate so in the comments.

6) Ensure the photo is of a reasonable size and quality - make it look good! Nothing smaller than 1024 x 768 please.

7) The contest entry photos must be submitted to the pioneerdj group as well as being tagged with "pioneerdj" and the contest tags of either "booth" or "product", depending on the contest the photo is being submitted for. Photos without the required tags will not be considered for judging.

8) By submitting your photo to the contest, you agree that Pioneer may use your photo under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License for internal use only. If you do not agree with this, don't enter the contest. Should Pioneer wish to use your photo for external use, they will contact you to make arrangements.

9) All photos must be submitted for judging by 11:59pm, Pacific time, Saturday October 6th, 2007. Photos received after this time will not be eligible for prizes in these contests.

10) Winners will be announced no later than Saturday October 20th, 2007. All winners will be contacted via the email address associated with their forum account - please ensure it is current!

11) These rules are subject to change at any time. Any changes made will be accompanied by a notification post on this thread.

Prizes
There will be 1 Grand Prize winner and 4 runners-up per contest, as well as 4 honourable mention winners. Prizing is as follows (subject to change but it will only get better if there are any!):

FYI: There are 18 shirts, 13-L, 5-XL and will be chosen by the winners in a top-down format. Sorry if you're an honourable mention and wind up with a shirt too small for you.

These are the new 2007 demonstrator shirts - I'll dig up a photo at some point.

Looks like we may have to extend the contest a bit, there's only been 7 entries from 2 people.

C'mon guys, you always bitch about not being able to get Pioneer swag and then I offer it up in exchange for a photo and you can't even step-up?

It was beat in my bar this weekend .. nothing even worthy of pulling the camera out for ..nothing but a sausage-fest.

just got back from russia on tuesday and got a CDJ-800 last night. Making a extension shelf for it right now. Once everything is done, i will make some pictures

I might do my brand new mobile set-up as well. It's really a mess and in my bedroom right now so it really doesn't look good but I am not sure that it will be cleaned up before the contest ends.
