Just wanted to share my excitement.. I got to play the WMC 2008 DJ Spin-off today in Miami.. It was fantastic. On the plus side they had a pioneer DJM 800 mixer and 2 cdj 1000 mk3's.. The contest consisted of scratching and Beat Matching. I entered the Beat Matching competition. After my set I listened to a lot of other people who got to play as well. After everyone was finished with there sets it was time for the judges to announce the winners.. a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place... I ended up Winning 2nd place.. Im really excited and had to tell the pioneer forum.. Thanks pioneer for making the best DJ Gear out there

Pulse, It was really nice meeting you at the WMC this year. I loved the pioneer set-up at the Remix hotel out by the pool. Very hot!!! also I learned a lot about the SVM-1000 and CDJ 400's. Learned a good bit about the Mep-7000 as well. Had a ton of fun just talking and enjoying the energy drinks!!! After I spent around 2 hours in the Pioneer area I ended up checking out James Zabiela ripping it up at the Beatport Pool Party... Lets just say amazing. Good times had by all. The rest of my week has been amazing and way to much fun.. I hope that anyone else reading this who went had as much fun and excitement as I did

That's cool you got second place but the idea of a DJ contest is redicules. It shouldn't be about who mixes better. DJing should be about partying and having fun.

I drove by the Remix Hotel on Sunday, I think it was, I saw a line out the door and around the damn corner.

Ultra was pretty sweet this year, especially Underworld.

Benny Benassi SUCKED!

Sander van Doorn was awesome.

The Earth Hour thing at the main stage (and others too?) really pissed me off.
