Hello Everybody...!!!
Simply wanted to ask if you prefer a CD-CASE (like those from American Audio) or a CD-BAG (like UDG)??? I prefer a cd-case (with Univenture archival pockets) over a cd-bag (UDG or Defected) but currently I am using a 'Slappa 600' due to it´s lightweight. As I am traveling a lot I feel a bit more relaxed if my cd-baggage is not that heavy ;-) Please let me know what do you think... But please no comments like: 'I still use VINYL' cause this is not the question ;-) :-) |

I actually use CD-bags.. I used a CD case before but didn't really like it. That's my opinion though!

Cases are easier to look throught, but they weight(assuming you get a quality one) bags/wallets dont.
I have both an prodj gear 300 case witch fits 300 more or less depending on what you store them in, i also have a udg 240 bag (120 since i make copies of every single cd) and its neat, looks good etc.. Cases + Easy to "unorganise" Easy to find that cd. If you only burn one cd per image these dubbel sleves for cds are king. its manly to put down a heightweight case :O cases - They weight Hard to find where the cd was, if youre not smart that is. might get messy sometimes Might not bee any space to store them in the booth Bags/wallets + Neat Fits many cds in a small space Could be held by one hand like a abook, witch is good if youre operating in a small booth where there is no space for your case/wallet Easy to organize and it will never get unorganised wallets - - cant be stacked underneath stuff - the cd labels/titles/content cheet has no good space to be on so it might fall out if youre not using a bit thicker paper than usual - if youre organising them in genres or anything else exept date burnt, you will get a hell organising it while "building" it. witch means it will be hard to organise while youre still filling it up with cds. Lets say you have a minimal section in the middle of proggressive house and drum n bass (weird i know) then youll get another minimal disc burnt, this means you have to move every drum n bass disc (witch comes after the minimal section) 1 step. lets say there are deep house, trance and 3 other genres after drum n bass. Well you have to move them aswell one step. This doesnt take that much time, around half an hour. But its still anoying. If you sort by date burnt this problem won occur since youre only adding the new disc after the last one burnt. I gotta eat, ill post more soon. |
