Stu, you need to use proper syntax for the smilies. Nobody ever uses the - "nose".

Yes because they're two completely different boards with completely different structures.
I'm going to using the words "search the forums" a lot. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

Another thing.
I don't like how you click on a thread that has new posts, and instead of taking you to the new posts, it takes you to the first page. The old forum, would always take you to the first unread post. Much better IMHO |

I think it looks pretty good... I dont like that it opens a new window when you reply to a post... actually it would just be nice if it closed the window once you clicked the "Post Now" button.
also I hate that i cant post from work since the board authenticates users through Groupee's website which is blocked by our proxy. |

I really like the speed of the new forum. The old forum would take time to load up even with a cable connection. Now just have to check out all of the different features.

Stevie - see the forum discussion thread where I already posted 2 ways to jump to the newest posts.
Aural - I thought the same thing but it DOES close itself. I tested it in both FireFox 1.5, 2.0 and IE 6.1 and 7.0. Just leave it! Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

Read again...
I said the old one took you to the first unread post. Which was better on a 20 page thread, and you had 3 pages of posts to catch up on. |

Yeah, it sucks but there's another way to do it - click on Find then go to "New since last visit".
One of the administrators was mentioning that the forum might require that a user log-out / log-in in order to track "visits". I think that's stupid because really, all that does is prevent me from needing to plug in my username / password every time I come here. I'll be testing it out to see just what works and what doesn't. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

I've gone from, seeing everything gray to EVERYTHING being new - even things I've already seen -_-

Yeah, I know - I'm finding that even the posts I've written are still showing as unread (yeah, thanks, I WROTE it that means I've READ it).
I tried the log-out / log-in thing but it didn't work. I've been using the Search > Find new since last visit and it seems to work okay, even though I still have to sift through it because it doesn't display logically. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

ok, personally, the login out and login in does work... if I stay logged in (with the selected option) threads don't update with read/unread, but if I log out and log back in, only the new ones show...
...however, yes, it counts mine as well.. and of course, during the session it doesn't track what I've already read - again, I'd have to log out and in for it to track what has been read |

I'm going to be really blunt - it's not Pioneer's fault for a bad board (ok, maybe a bit their fault for not trying it out before migrating) but Eve better not take 3 months to come up with an update for this...
Not being able to tell what the hell is new in a forum with more than, what, 100,000 posts (?) is ridiculous |

THEY NEVA SHOULDA GAVE YOU NI$%AS MONEY! I didn't even notice I keep saying that, I gotta get a new word All things considered... The new forum is ok...I really don't like how a new window pops up for posting though, that's pretty annoying. |

I'm getting used to the pop-up window, still trying to cope with the "read / unread" indicators tho.
