Damn.. I dunno... Karl and Gary would kill us I think at the trivia game!

heheh... Simpsons. It's even funny when you're just thinking about all the crazy visuals and dialogue they have in there... don't even have to watch to get a laugh.

Plenty of good DJ samples come from the Simpsons too if you haven't dropped any into your set...

A couple Homer ones to use:

... "And the magnificent...Spin.. zigga zigga This! ... You strap yourself in and feel the G's!" (from the MaxPower episode).

".. and Shake your booty means to wiggle one's butt... permit me to demonstrate."

Damn straight I'm one of the biggest fans!

Has anyone listened to the opening quote on my 2000 Flushes? It's been effected thru Sound Forge, but you should recognize it right away.

Chris

PS: I'm all over that contest like a fat man on a Smartie!

ok this will probably sound really lame but the idea just popped into my head and i thought it would be hilarious..

if anyone has seen that ridiculous movie "the skulls" you all know that all of the guys in that secret society had a skull shape branded on their left wrist and they all had the same model breitling navitimer chrono watch to cover up the branding mark.. well, seems like a lot of the people on this here board are significant fans of the simpsons, so if we all dropped simpson samples into our mix, then we all become a member of the pioneer bbs secret society! we're takin over! =) haha j.k .. i just saw that in my mind and HAD to type it.

That's great 136

The secret society of simpsons pioneer djs or SSSPDJ. (can anyone come up with a better acronym?)

The trivia questions have 5 different levels. I'll post a couple at different levels. The higher the question you can answer, the more.... respect you get.

Yes I am a HUGE fan. Yes BIGGER than you Pulse!!

As Brian has elluded I have a tattoo on my shoulder of Bart. Have every little doll , figureine, game, etc.etc. But the feather in the hat is having every episode on 28 - six hour videos. That is 336 episodes! Some are the season re-runs as I have been recording those the last couplce of years just in case I missed one.

since Brian has seen Karl's Bart tat, my guess would be that it's on his arm....unless it's the bart simpson "Crack Kills" tat...doh!

I would like to say that I think it's super cool for you guys to open up and expand the forums like this...it really lets us get a better idea of how the other members of our cddj fraternity are in real life!

Gary - I had a friend working at a videogame software company, specifically on a new Simpsons game (still to be released)... they obtained DVDs of ALL the episodes from Fox.

He's gonna make me copies if he ever gets ahold of a DVD burner.

Mmmm... 12 seasons worth of Simpsons on DVD... <<insert drooly smilie here>>

I'd mention another seriously cool Simpsons website, but people may use it for reference during the contest, so I'll tell y'all later.

When i find the time, i always try to watch it either on the BBC (UK) or on FOX(Holland) . I just love the parts where Homer says DOH and the parts with Montgomery Burns and his nuclear power facility. Hmm Springfield nuclear power facility sounds like a great name for a track.....

As for DVD burning (to get off topic for a second), the top new Mac G4s come with the Pioneer DVD-R burner, which lets you write "consumer" DVDs that work in a regular DVD player (the software and hardware were apparently too expensive before).

Yeh, they should put all the episodes out on DVD. Sure beats taping them or hunting them down on the Internet.. and Groening and his gang would probably make a killing.

I'd get a DVD player just for that... worth it just for all the audio samples.

I'll let him to you about his collection but I'll just tell you right now Karl is a HUGE Simpsons fan...he even has a Bart Simpson tattoo (you can guess where).

But he collects all types of memorabilia.
