Than going down to the local record shop and seeing a flyer with your name on it for the first time. Just thought I'd share, I'm real excited.

Here's a small flyer from a party I played last March... gotta love the tiny parties!

...ahhh yes. Flyers rule - there's a sweet article on flyers in this month's issue of Club Systems International magazine (sorry, no website). Talks about the history and graphics.

pulse-

was that like a really killer party or something, cuz it is showing that it was $30! =) I can't remember the last time a rave out here in vegas cost more than maybe $22 or something, and thats when they are bringing in talent from the UK and such.. Then again, the raves out here suck and are put together by a bunch of trendy 19 year old kids that were die-hard punk rockers two years ago, so who knows..

136 - no, that was a small overpriced party that I didn't get paid for because not enough people showed.

A current party of large scale will run on a sliding price;

First 50 tix are $10
next 200 are $15
Next 750 are $20
Next 1000 are $25
VIPs are $40
More (usu. about $50) at the door.

Yay! Success!

Anyway ... better do a little bit of explaining ... mmm ... the top half is the front of the flyer ... the bottom half is the back ... blah blah blah ...

Me & my partner DJ under the name Funkshoppe ... so our name and funky little house with headphones logo is on the back ... we have Funkshoppe merchandise as well man ... it's so funny ... stickers and sh!t ... and we're gonna make some t-shirts and mix cds and original compositions this year also ... as well as going on tour ...

All this while balancing my day job as creative director of an ad agency ... is HARD WORK ... but I love it anyway.

Damn...I hate to get off topic, but I have to say that's a pretty slick-looking poster, Superstar! In fact, I checked out Creative-Prolific and Orange Penang's web sites; both really sweet-looking flash web sites.

Keep up the excellent design work... Props!

Was CRAIG BURGER QUEEN the headliner? I can't tell for sure.

Looks slick... I should scan some local flyers and stick 'em on my website ... Wednesday I'll get to it. I'll accept others to scan and send as well, would be cool to have a bit of a "library" of flyers on my website!

email remove#this#djpulse@excite.#and#this#com or 'Q me at my secondary (my main ain't working, having a Win2K problem with ICQ) - 69688946 (shows as SideSwipe).

Thanks for the props SpinThis Dave ... we're all pretty happy with how the flyer turned out ... and even happier with the party ... we had so much fun ... Craig didn't even want to leave.

And also thanks for the props on my websites ... all my staff put in a lot of hard work to try and create something original ... glad to know it's appreciated.

To Chris/Pulse

Yeah ... Craig was the headliner ... that's why it says err ... KENT choice featuring Craig Burger Queen ... and only my name in teeny weeny letters on the back ... ha ha ha ...

KENT is a great company that sponsors a whole sh!tload of parties in Malaysia ... they bring everyone down man ... from less well-known DJs ... to all the big boys, like Sasha, Digweed, Judge Jules, Deep Dish, Jeff Mills ... dammit Carl Cox is playing this weekend ... and I can't go coz I have to spin a 5 hour set at my club.

All in all, it's pretty cool, and we always have to sit down and plan our calendar, so we know who we're bringing over ... hell of a lot of work, but it's all worth it.

Incidentally, if any of you ever have a chance to see Craig Burger Queen DJ, GO, the guyis mental. We had so much fun it was nuts. Kind of made New Year's Eve a non-event ... ha ha ha ...

Also, LA deep house guru David Alvarado is also a really good DJ, and a nice bloke too. Check him out if you guys have time!
