I've been down with Pioneer for 5 years now, and since the first day I met Karl, I knew that Pioneer would be the leader. Karl had love for the art of spinnin, and it truly shows in their gear. Seeing that I was a major Pioneer supporter, and a vinyl jock, I was giving the opportunity to play on the 1000s in the early stages, back when they were nothing more than a black box and a wheel. Even then I knew that they was going to be huge. Then I got a second try, damn. I had the 1200 sitting next to the 1000 and I couldnt tell the difference between the two. Sounds the same, cuts the same, and so damn close to the feel of wax. Now granted, cutting on wax and cutting on the CDJ-1000 are different, Pioneer couldnt have made a smoother, more DJ friendly player. It has its own feel, which it should. Its one of a kind, a true invention.

I started out on 1200s and slowly incorporated CDs into my routines. I found a way for vinyl and digital to co-exist. But Im starting to re-think this now. Its going to be hard for the two to live together now, and I think Im going to start to make the transition to CD, only because of the new player. Not to knock the other players, but I never would have switched if it werent for the 1000.

I could continue to use the 700s, but I now have the opportunity to be more creative, move unique. As much as I love the wax, CDs are taking over. These players do for CDs, what Technics did for wax. and then some.

Much love,
Brett Belcastro

Thx 2nd Nature

Yes 2ndNature was one of a half a dozen DJs we met with in the US to get feedback early on. If it wasn't for him, Roonie, Hot Toddy, and a few others we would not have such a strong player. Thx to all that helped in giving feedback on the CDJ-1000.
