We can't discuss competitors products or rumors about potential Pioneer products. We know Pioneer is releasing something at the end of the month, but we won't know what it is 'till then.

This forum is always a great place to hear about the new or upcoming products.

Phew! Pulse, A ray of hope for you. But the ratio of referential material is still heavily skewed to the, how do I out it without offending,... Got It, to the Rainbow sector. I expect you to work on getting that, at the very least, more balanced. You could start by Creating, with your photoshop skills, a monthly Babe in the Box. Maybe some celebrity Babes in the box on Pio gear.

probably be a new version of the EFX-500 since they did the hype about a new mixer earlier in the year already so you can hear rumors about the video mixer thats coming out so i doubt it'll be a 4 channel version of the 909 even though if that was the case i'd pre order one now

I can't see a spinning paltter, when the platters touch is important. I was told that the players with spinning platters have a belt drive that breaks pretty easy??? Doesn't make much sense....

I'm thinkin' it might be the combo video/audio mixer to compliment the DVJ. Either that or the 4-channel 909, or the new EFX. Those are my most likely's. No need for a new CDJ just yet, but I could be wrong...

Breaking belts has never been a problem, even on old vinyl turntables. I used belt driven B310's for years with no breakage. The problem with belt drive is the "winding effect." When you're holding the record, it would slow the platter, which in turn caused the rubber band to stretch, when you let go the platter would surge in speed because of the rubber band releasing the saved energy. The release would sound like crap and to top it off, it would throw the mix off beat. When I finally got direct drive turntables, I was better than my friends who started on direct drive. I guess it like training for a race with weights on your back. When you finally drop the weights it feels like you're flying!

I was the same way when I finally switched from belt to 1200s. Not to mention how much better you are because you're so use to being gentle on those belt driven turntables because the platters weren't that stable. You had to baby it so as not to make the needle jump. Then when you get on a stable 1200 with direct drive, you feel like you're ready for a turntable battle.

"MS" Microsoft, "Paint" paint. duh????

Do a search for paint on your computer. You will come to find the execute for paint as "mspaint.exe" Not the worlds greatest graphics software, but when your at work, and they won't spring $600 for Photo Shop, so I can screw around on forums on their dollar, and get buy with what you have.......Hence MSPaint

Jay, i've never seen one unit that I've sold come back with a broken belt. . . .at least in the event that it does break, there's a replacement shipped with the original . .. when you're talking about the 5000, you are forgetting that a)you need to be light handed so that the platter can move, b)it's a very powerful cd player. . . . c)some people, self included actually welcome the added features and like it as well as liking the Pio lineup, and other cd players as well. .

Love to take credit for the 4-chan 909, but there's no way I could do that. They probably had the damn thing done and completed before they even made the press release for the original 909.

That's if it's a new 4-channel 909. But I'm still thinkin' they'r'a call it the DJM-1000.

Speculation , speculation , speculation,

Read between the lines of what Pulse said. It is going to be something to do with what we were always screaming for ................ mp3 compatibility.

I think it will be an mp3 player............ my speculation
