i think im just unlucky with my pioneer cdj1000mk2s.. i bought 2 in feb 04... 1 had to go back as it had pressure sensitivity issues which they could not fixed (they kindly sent me out a new one), Now the one that i got sent out in june 04, the jog dials feels like its needing more pressure on it to scratch, i tested it against my one faithfull deck i originally got, and if i put a light weight on the platter on my good one, it turns into vinyl mode, but when i put the same weight on my other deck, it doesnt recognise any pressure and the music continues playing. I thought maybe it was just me, so i switched my decks around, and now i havethe same problem when scratching.. it just kinda slips away under my hands to early, it works fine if i push down hard on the platter but that makes it very difficult to juggle as your hands are so used to doing the same thing. I called UK tech support and they were great, the guy is going to try and get it back to me within a week because i Dj at a club every friday and saturday. If it has to go to the main pio HQ though it will take 3 - 4 weeks
![]() i should claim to be the 1st person to "scratch out" a cdj1000, maybe ill get an award? haha, but i think this is just down to the faulty unit. anyone else experienced this?? the unit i am having problems with, i only got in June 04 |

maybe one of your hands is weaker than the other. additionally, maybe you put the wait in a different spot on the other CDJ. I think you might be being to picky because I know the sensitivy on both my CDJ's differs a little from eachother. Or atleast i think it does. Just enjoy them! If they work, they work you know

It could possibly be a weak/strong hand issue. I would take the players back to where you purchased them if you are not happy.

I find if you touch the outside of the platter it stops with just a little less pressure than the inside. Maybe thats it.
