Hi
I create my MP3 CDs in iTunes from playlists. Most track titles and artist names appear OK. However, some are truncated and it doesn't appear to be a specific number of characters that are displayed either. Any ideas? cheers TD |

It's a lot less than that, but not always the same number of characters. Or truncated at a special character either. For example, the artist H.O.S.H. displays as H.O.S
It seems to be the artist names that it's happening to (or maybe that is what I'm noticing as I search by artist). |

It truncates at 64 chars because I believe that's the limit for ID3v1 tags.
I've had no problems with special characters such as: ! @ # $ & ( ) - + , . / " ' [ ] or accents like é It could be that iTunes is screwing things up. I know a when Stu (a forum member here) makes his mp3 file for my podcast it always screws up the RSS feed because iTunes breaks one of the tags by having HEX instead of text. Try running a program like MP3val to see if the files are okay. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |
