Hello...

I've been using Verbatim printable cds aside with my TS. Recently i've noticed that on almost every cd i have has this weird crackle noise in the audio (especially on the silent parts - breaks). I've always kept my burning speed to a minimum in Nero 8.0. Also had a few problems with cd ejecting (doesn't want to eject)...but it seems to happen only with these Verbatim cd's. The crackles are audiable on a recording also. I always burn a single .wav per cd.

So i'm interested if any1 has encountered this prob, or can tell me what causes it.

thnx in advance

g.

I have hads problems with bad MP3s that have caused these symptoms. Have you checked your files for any sign they may be corrupted??

I would suggest that it might be the blanks if you notice the problem only with one brand... perhaps they're defective?

Sounds like the laser has been knocked out of alignment. I've had this happen on other manufacturer's equipment but never Pio; however I'm sure it can happen.

I'd say get the decks in to get looked at.

EDIT - or, if I read the whole original post, I'd agree with Pulse as well. But mine is one other possibility.

Yup, sounds right! Change CD brands.
