Am i missing something..
If a track is playing and the brake knob is turned all the way clockwise and i touch the platter whay on occasion does it immediatly stop and not slow down? I have notice this on both my mk3 (latest firmware) and also my mk2. It usually happens the first time i touch the platter since setting the knob to the full clockwise rotation. Once i let go and press it again, it will slow. Ive noticed that the release start occasionally starts immediatly too, but much rarer. Ta guys |

Think of it as a regular turntable... you press your hand down on the record, what happens?

Ta for reply Pulse.. but i think your missing the point.
It sometimes stops dead when the touch brake is set to wind down, so say im at the last song of my mix, i put the brake knob fully clockwise, so at the end of track want it to wind down. At the point i want it to wind down i touch the platter and sometimes it stops dead, the brake doesnt work |

Can you get it to do it regularly?
Try: 1) touching near the edge of the platter, close to where you'd pitch bend 2) touching at the center of the platter 3) lightly touching 4) touching hard (don't break the thing) I've noticed that sometimes on 1000's as well but it never bothered me enough to care, since I usually just hit the play/pause button when I want to wind down and that ALWAYS works. *edit* Just thought of something... it will ALWAYS stop immediately if there's the slightest movement on the platter (like as if you were going to scratch). Probably what's happened is that even though you've only moved it a fraction of an inch, it was sitting close enough to one of the sensors that it saw movement, and so stopped. Not sure if that's any help, but it might help you diagnose the problem. -r- |
