Hello everyone I am new to the community. I have been doing a lot of research looking to buy either the 400's or the 800's they are not too far off in price, I heard that the 800's are better for scratching? Which ones will be better I won't be doing all kinds of scratching but i like to mess with hip hop once in a while I used to scratch on vinyl tables which i am still thinking of getting to in addition. I just wanted to get some of your opinions to see which ones i should get? i look forward to the pioneers!

If you're a turntablist, get the CDJ800MK2.
If you want more bang-for-the-buck, get the CDJ400. They both have identical chipsets and algorithms for the scratching but because of the larger platter of the CDJ800, it's more natural and easier to manipulate the audio when scratching. But as far as features and performance goes, it's the CDJ400 hands-down in my book. Pioneer National Trainer // Product Specialist |

Yes, I agree completely with Pulse; if your not scratching all the time get the 400s...

The 1000's would be it for me - I still use more CD than digital files and the waveform display is fantastic!

Check out his videos on our site, some of his scratches are cue points and loops and other goodies he comes up with- Great DJ and Jason Pook's twin brother!
