Wahooo, just ordered a CDJ 1000 from CDPOOL ( i think i can mention these guys). The service rocks and they are nice peops in the UK branch. I should get my hands on it in a couple of days time. I think i will have to run to the shops to buy a mmc card tomorrow.

Oh I can't wait

Will buy another next month if i like em, which i am sure i will unless i get brain damaged before then

After that a new mixer... I have a djm 600 already but a djm 3000 would go well with my cmx 3000. But am seriously considering another brand unless Pio come out with a mixer that supersedes the 600.

BTW, does the djm 3000 feel the same as the 600, in terms of EQ pot size etc... ?

Cheers

Rave

Congrats on the 1000's......a DJM 909 is what you want now. I never used a 600 but Im sure the 909 will blow you away.

is this your reply to everything? i mean sure the 909 is a cool mixer and all but its not what everyone wants. a lot of people who would buy a djm600 wouldnt buy a 909, not enough channels/inputs/mic inputs/etc.....

I agree the 909 is very interesting but I need more channels. A 19inch 4 channel version of the 909 would be nice, very nice

Actually, since you have been taking notes, you notice MY replies are usually moreso HELPFUL than FLAMMABLE. I posted how much I enjoyed my NEW 909 in a previous topic, I mention it again and you wanna jump on my nuts.

Is it a great mixer? yes, you acknowledged that. Would every DJ love to have one? yes if it affordable and there is a need. So whats the BFD in saying a 909 is what anyone would want?

There will be NO nut-jumping! If that starts up, Rox will think it was my fault.

Well Pulse...exactly what are you implying?

He's way beyond implying. While he could have used other terms to describe the subject activity, such as attacking or provoking or annoying, he again, for the 10 jillionth time, choose a male gonad influenced reference to make his point. I think the implication stage is way behind us. This is pure Freudian manifestations at it's best.

P.S. Pulse, Thanks for the opportunity. you set em up, I'll knock em down.

well maybe like i pointed out and rave concurred with the 909 is not what everyone wants. hell pioneer doesnt even produce a range that caters to what everyone wants. some dj's have different needs to those that the 909 was designed for. maybe you should take your hand off it for a moment in the hope you might get mailed out a t shirt or beanie, and consider the different needs of dj's out there before you instantly say "oh the djm909 is the mixer for you"

end.

Isnt the 909 only a two channel mixer?! In my case it wouldnt be any good for me, as I have two decks and a CDJ. Is the 909 that good that I could get rid of my decks and only have two CDJ's runnin off it...?

You're right, it's a two channel mixer, but you could still have your two decks and your CDJ hooked up. You would just have to use the toggle switch at the top to select which one you want on the output.

Sean I dont wanna get in a flame war with you...enough of that goes on in here already. I assume I was your TARGET for the day and thats cool too, I can take it like a man. But what erks me most is when people take statements like "a 909 is what you want" (what I posted) and turn it into "the 909 is the mixer for you"....I NEVER said that. Not to mention the statement I made is hardly worth flamming anyone for...but it was a bit over exuberent in hindsight. BFD. Most PROFESSIONAL DJ's have different sets of gear and a 909 would be a fine addition to any IMO. Next time pick on someone for stating something worthy of flamming...that wasnt.

You'll have to forgive Sean. His tits (see his ID pic) might be sore this time of the month.

And, I have to agree, the 909 would fit well into kit.
